Where We Work
Our activities cover entire region of Theni district in the state of Tamil Nadu, S. India. Specifically, our rural developmental functions cover more than 40 villages surrounding Kadamalaikundu-Mayiladumparai block in the district of Theni.

Disaster Relief
The Literates Welfare Association had implemented massive Tsunami Rehabilitation Programme in the deadly-wave affected villages in Nagapattinam district – just a few days after Tsunami 2004 event, Relief Team from the Organization was present in the district with supply of essentials and Relief materials. The Organization had an enrollment with the District Administration for taking up comprehensive Damage Assessments resulted in the undertaking of various rehabilitation schemes and projects including coastal tree planting, training and awareness on mangrove restoration and skills development for the benefit of the youngsters from vulnerable fishermen communities.
