Child Rights/Welfare

The Literates Welfare Association has a Policy Document on Child Protection which ensures that both the Board of Members and the staff team to recognize that children under any circumstances should not be subjected to violation and abuses. Represented in several Forums in the state of Tamil Nadu, the Organization has been keen to provide services in the best interests of the children. Particularly, we are sympathetic to the concerns of the infants in the age group 0-5 years, and we run Crèches [Day Care Centres] which directly benefits infants and their poor parents. To provide improved care to the children of working and ailing mothers in the rural area, crèche units were established enrolled 50 children below the age of five, providing pre-school education, nutritious food, recreational facilities, proper medical care etc.
