Where We Work
Our activities cover entire region of Theni district in the state of Tamil Nadu, S. India. Specifically, our rural developmental functions cover more than 40 villages surrounding Kadamalaikundu-Mayiladumparai block in the district of Theni.

Agriculture
Since agriculture is speculative, due to the failure of monsoon, lack of awareness on improved technology of agriculture to be used, an initiative has been taken to coordinate the farmers to take joint action to improve their farming sector activities and non-farm sector activities and promoted farmers club in our target areas. So far, the Literates Welfare Association had facilitated the formation of 10 Small Farmers’ Circles and the beneficiaries were trained on various agricultural technologies in enhancing the sustainable crop production. We place great emphasis on organic farming and reduction of the use of hazardous chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
